Survival rules
Version of 19 October 2026
Joining the Survival server means accepting these rules and the sanctions they provide for. Every player is expected to check this document from time to time and keep up with its changes.
In short
- Moderate, respectful language is expected in chat.
- Griefing, theft and PvP without mutual consent are forbidden.
- Spam, flaming and excessive caps lock are not allowed.
- Hacks, unauthorised mods and the use of unauthorised bugs are forbidden.
- Offensive names and skins are not allowed.
- All forms of discrimination are forbidden.
Sanctions and disciplinary measures
Every breach of the rules is subject to action by the staff, even when the point itself does not name a sanction. Where no specific measure is set, the staff decide according to the seriousness and the circumstances of the case.
The table sums up the sanctions and the other disciplinary measures, their effects, their durations and how they are applied. Sanctions can be contested in the dedicated section of the forum or through a staff member on Discord.
| Sanction | What it means | Duration / application | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Warning (warn) | An official warning recorded in the history. At the third active warning, one day of prison (minimum security) starts automatically. Every further warning given while at least three are active adds another day of detention. | A warning stays active for 7 days. When it expires it no longer counts, but it stays in the history. | A warning applies only on the server where it was given. Prison starts only if the player is online on that server. Warnings are counted separately for each server. |
| Kick | The player is removed from the network. | Immediate. | The player may come back straight away. |
| Handcuffs | While handcuffed, the player cannot move or use commands. The measure ends when the staff release them. | Until the staff release the player. | The measure serves to stop a situation in progress. |
| Mute | Prevents writing in chat and using /msg, /tell, /r, /me, /say and /mail send. | Up to 7 days as a rule, up to 1 month in serious cases. | Applies to the whole network. |
| Prison – minimum security | The player stays in a cell: their inventory is seized and given back when the sentence ends; they cannot use commands, take damage or change server. They can write in chat, in the global channel too with the «!» prefix. Detention time keeps running even if the player is AFK. | From 1 minute to 7 days. If no duration is given, the sentence is 5 minutes; each later imprisonment on the same server adds 5 minutes (10, 15 and so on). For warnings (warn), the duration is 1 day. | When the sentence ends, select [Click to leave] in chat to get out. |
| Prison – maximum security | Like minimum-security prison, but the player can only write in the local chat, which the staff see. Detention time runs only while the player is active. Every 5 minutes the player must select the number shown in chat; selecting a wrong number starts a new check. | From 1 minute to 7 days. | Applies in the most serious cases. If the prisoner does not answer the checks, detention time stops. |
| Ban | The player cannot join the network. | Up to 1 month as a rule. In the most serious cases a ban can be permanent, but that decision rests with the management only. | Applies to the whole network. |
Full rules
1 Griefing and theft
- 1.1
“Griefing” means damaging, destroying, removing or moving other players’ property without permission, including blocks, items, crops, animals and villagers. Killing other players’ animals or villagers without permission is griefing too.
- 1.2
“Theft” means taking or appropriating other players’ property without their consent, including crops, items left on the ground and items dropped when their owner dies.
- 1.3
Other players’ property must be respected even when it lies outside a private or protected area.
- 1.4
Breaking a block and putting it straight back in the same place, for example to get past an obstacle, is not theft. It is griefing if it happens in an area where access is forbidden or concerns a block that belongs to another player.
- 1.5
Taking items from chests meant for public use is not theft, as long as that use is clearly marked, for example with a “Public chest” sign.
- 1.6
Taking items from an automatic farm without the owner’s permission is theft.
- 1.7
Anyone harvesting crops from a plantation clearly marked as public must replant the same amount; otherwise the harvest is theft.
- 1.8
Theft is punishable with prison or a kick. The sanction depends on the amount of items taken, the seriousness of the damage and earlier sanctions for similar breaches. The measure applies to the account used to commit the theft.
- 1.9
Anyone who asks or leads another person to steal or damage other players’ property is as responsible for the breach as the person who carries it out.
- 1.10
As far as possible, damage caused by griefing or theft is repaired.
2 PvP and mutual consent
- 2.1
“PvP” means any action meant to hurt or kill another player, including indirect damage, for example with lava, falls or mobs.
- 2.2
PvP is allowed only with the consent of both players. Consent covers a single duel and does not extend to later fights.
- 2.3
A duel ends when one of the participants dies or when either of them asks to stop. Another duel needs new consent.
- 2.4
If the staff establish that the reporter knowingly denied consent to PvP that they had actually given, they may apply the sanctions for false reports set out in point 10. Proof of consent, such as chat messages, is weighed in the context of the report.
- 2.5
If the attacker states they acted in self-defence after being attacked, the staff may weigh the circumstances and decide how to act.
- 2.6
Taking part in a tournament that includes PvP means consenting to fight the opponent assigned.
- 2.7
Building traps meant to kill other players is forbidden.
- 2.8
PvP is allowed in areas marked by a clear, visible notice, for example a sign reading “By entering this area you agree to PvP”. If the notice is not adequate, PvP counts as non-consensual. Such areas cannot be built near the spawns or near the staff’s public buildings. In these areas too, consent covers a single duel.
- 2.9
Moving an AFK player into a trap or deliberately exposing them to danger counts as PvP.
- 2.10
Abusing logout during PvE or PvP is forbidden.
3 Requests to the staff
- 3.1
“Asking the staff for favours” means asking them to use powers reserved to the staff for a personal advantage, for example through commands or access not available to players.
- 3.2
Asking the staff to use commands such as “/give” to get rare items is not allowed.
- 3.3
Asking the staff for items to avoid getting them in the game is not allowed.
- 3.4
Asking the staff to teleport you is not allowed, not even to places that are easy to reach. For quick travel, the Nether can be used.
- 3.5
Requests to lift sanctions cannot be made in chat or on behalf of other players.
- 3.6
Being a YouTuber or streamer does not justify asking the staff for favours.
- 3.7
Insisting on a favour after the staff have refused is not allowed.
- 3.8
The player directly concerned can ask for an explanation of the staff’s decisions in the dedicated section of the forum.
- 3.9
If the site or the forum cannot be reached to file an appeal, a staff member can be contacted on Discord to submit the request.
- 3.10
Respect for the staff is expected. Insults, repeated provocation and behaviour that hinders moderation are forbidden. Asking for an explanation or contesting a decision through the channels provided is not in itself a breach.
4 Appropriate language
- 4.1
Insults and blasphemy, whether in chat, in drawings or in any other explicit and recognisable form, are not tolerated. Breaches can lead to sanctions ranging from a mute to a permanent ban from the network.
5 Hacks and unauthorised mods
- 5.1
Using hacks such as X-Ray, including through texture packs, No Fall or similar tools is forbidden. A breach leads to a permanent ban from the network.
- 5.2
Unauthorised mods are forbidden.
- 5.3
The only mod allowed is OptiFine, installed without Fabric or Forge.
- 5.4
Using third-party programs, such as auto-clickers, that automate actions and make excessive use of AFK farms easier is forbidden.
6 Use of bugs
- 6.1
A “bug” is an error or abnormal behaviour of the game or of the server’s systems.
- 6.2
Bugs may be used only in the cases and within the limits given in the “Authorised bugs” table at the end of this document, kept up to date by the staff.
- 6.3
Bugs authorised under point 6.2 must be used in moderation. For lag problems, point 16.1 applies.
- 6.4
Exploiting errors of the server’s systems is forbidden, including wrong prices caused by a shop malfunction.
- 6.5
Copying the map art on the server is forbidden.
- 6.6
Anyone who finds a bug not among those authorised under point 6.2 must report it to the staff and not use it.
7 Insults and discrimination
- 7.1
Discriminatory behaviour of any kind is forbidden. Inciting other players to bully a person for their religion, ethnicity or sexual orientation is a serious breach and leads to a permanent ban from the network.
- 7.2
Respect for different nationalities and personal beliefs is expected. The server promotes an inclusive environment, where all players can live together with mutual respect.
- 7.3
Any illegal act committed on the server or through its communication channels is subject to action by the staff.
8 Impersonation and accounts
- 8.1
“Impersonation” means deceptively presenting yourself as another person or as a staff member.
- 8.2
The ban applies also when the person impersonated has nothing to do with the server or is known on the web, for example as a YouTuber or streamer.
- 8.3
When moving to a new account, the staff must be told.
- 8.4
Changing your name is allowed, as long as the new name follows these rules.
- 8.5
Swapping accounts or giving them away for good is forbidden.
- 8.6
Lending your account does not free the owner from responsibility: if the rules are broken, the sanction applies to the account used. The staff cannot check who was using it at the time of the breach.
- 8.7
A player may not use more than one account at the same time. Several accounts belonging to people of the same household and linked to the same IP address must be reported to the staff.
9 Chat and communication
- 9.1
Systematically splitting messages into one send per word, fuelling provocation and arguments in chat (flaming) or using caps lock excessively is forbidden.
- 9.2
Repeatedly sending links is forbidden. The server is not responsible for any scams spread through links shared by users.
- 9.3
Repeatedly advertising other servers is forbidden.
- 9.4
Sending repeated messages only to draw other players’ attention is forbidden.
- 9.5
Repeatedly posting personal information or links to your own profiles (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitch and the like) for promotion is forbidden.
- 9.6
In chat, Italian or English is preferred.
- 9.7
Language that other players can understand is expected. Using expressions or codes in order to exclude or discriminate against other players is forbidden.
- 9.8
Non-Latin characters, for example Japanese or Cyrillic, may be used occasionally; habitual use is not allowed.
10 False reports
- 10.1
A report is false when, sent with the “/ticket new” command or told to a staff member, it knowingly states untrue facts about an alleged abuse or offence.
- 10.2
False reports hinder moderation and are punishable with prison from 1 hour to 7 days.
- 10.3
If the false report aims to deceive the staff to gain an advantage, this is an aggravating circumstance and the conduct leads to a ban of at least one week.
11 False statements and role play
- 11.1
Knowingly making false statements to the staff or to other players outside the context of role play is forbidden.
- 11.2
Taking part in role play is optional. A player’s choice to role-play must be respected. Other players do not have to join in, but must not ostracise or discriminate in any way against those who do.
- 11.3
Role play must follow the other provisions of these rules and does not justify false statements made to the staff during reports or checks.
12 Reports and contacting the staff
- 12.1
To report problems or breaches on the server, use the “/ticket new” command. For explanations or appeals about sanctions, the ways set out in the “Sanctions and disciplinary measures” section apply.
13 Scams and deception
- 13.1
Taking advantage of new players’ inexperience for personal gain is forbidden.
- 13.2
Deceiving other players or the staff for personal gain, including through misleading situations or items, is forbidden.
- 13.3
In trades, loans and other agreements between players, the agreed terms must be kept. Holding on to goods or payments against the agreement is not allowed.
- 13.4
A good price is not in itself a scam or a bug. Obvious mistakes or malfunctions of shops must be reported to the staff without taking advantage of them.
14 Offensive names and skins
- 14.1
Names and skins containing references to racism, nudity or historical dictators, offensive references to religions or other content unsuitable for the game are forbidden.
15 Property and living together
- 15.1
The Survival world is built on players living together with respect.
- 15.2
Private areas can contain buildings and items belonging to one or more players, but they are not automatically off limits. The owner or owners must clearly show whether access is free, paid or for guests only.
- 15.3
An area counts as private property only if it belongs exclusively to the player or players claiming it, or to an organisation or company of the server. Any access restrictions must be clearly shown and respected. In shared property, managing goods and taking from them must follow the agreements between the members. Leaving a group does not allow taking or damaging the common goods.
- 15.4
The staff do not act merely because someone entered an open, easily reachable area with no boundaries or clear notices forbidding access.
- 15.5
You can ask for permission to build in an apparently abandoned area if its owner has not joined the server for at least three months and there is a valid reason or project to restore it. Building is allowed only after the staff approve it; they take on the request and decide case by case whether to reset the area.
- 15.6
Building near private property in order to disturb its owners is forbidden. Projects right next to it must be agreed in advance with the owners concerned.
- 15.7
Playing pranks on other players to disturb them or cause them material or psychological harm is forbidden.
- 15.8
Owners can report to the staff breaches of the restrictions that apply to their property.
- 15.9
The rules on private property also apply to ice roads. Connecting to one requires the owner’s consent, and the owner may forbid unauthorised access.
16 Farms and forbidden mechanics
- 16.1
Common sense and respect for the other provisions are expected. Structures and mechanics that cause lag are judged case by case by the staff, who decide what needs to be done.
- 16.2
Building or using flying machines and 0-tick farms is forbidden. A flying machine is a redstone build that, thanks to slime, honey or similar blocks, moves on its own or semi-automatically along a set path.
- 16.3
Hoarding bedrock or breaking it by any means is forbidden.
- 16.4
Building on top of the Nether’s bedrock or using duplication systems (dupers) is forbidden. Mechanics based on glitches are allowed only in the cases and within the limits set out in point 6.2.
- 16.5
Farms not connected to the ground, such as open-air mob grinders visible on the map, must be covered. If they are not covered after three reminders from the staff, the farm is removed.
- 16.6
In the Nether, building farms and changing existing structures to gain a game advantage require the staff’s permission beforehand. Platforms above fortresses or bastions meant to help mobs spawn are allowed without permission. It is also allowed to change an area around a blaze or magma cube spawner, as long as it does not exceed 16 × 16 blocks and the spawner is in the centre.
- 16.7
Platforms above fortresses or bastions can be made private.
- 16.8
Farms that use the Wither, in any way, are forbidden.
- 16.9
Farms that generate emeralds through continuous raids while the player is AFK are forbidden.
- 16.10
If any of these rules is broken, everyone who took part in building the farm and used it is sanctioned.
- 16.11
Building farms near other players’ areas without their consent is forbidden, especially when the farm is far from your own play area.
Authorised bugs
The table lists the bugs the staff allow to be used under point 6.2. The permission covers only the uses described and applies within the limits given. The other bans of these rules still apply.
There are no authorised bugs at the moment.
